Great news! The Browns Lane planning application, which would essentially have extended Tamworth towards the village of Wigginton (but with Council Tax going to Lichfield), has been rejected this evening by the Lichfield District Council Planning Committee.
I was there in person to see the session, along with Cllr Samuel Smith (Cabinet Member for Housing and Planning).
Cllr Pritchard, who is the Councillor for the Ward which would have been most impacted, spoke on the item to raise objections.
In the end the planning officers proposed that the committee reject the application and the rejection was unanimous.
