After being stuck on the M6 for 7.5hrs yesterday, and before the Licensing Committee meeting of the Council at 6pm, I managed to squeeze in some campaigning.
I went out talking to residents with Mark Harper (Secretary of State for Transport), local councillor Cllr Daniel Maycock, and our parliamentary candidate Councillor Andrew Cooper.
It was great to be back in the area ‘where it all began’, as it’s where I first stood in a Council by-election after only being a member of the Party a couple of months.
It was good to see that Tamworth Conservatives and Andrew Cooper have strong support around there still.
