This seems sensible from Rishi Sunak.
Surely a review of all policies being worked on to ensure they’re still right for the people of our country is the right thing to do? That’s what he’s doing here.
Yes we need to do our bit as a country (arguably we are already doing way more than our bit on the world stage here anyway), but we should not just push things through at the expense of living standards for us all at home.
Remember the big push for diesel engines? That didn’t age well did it? So it seems to me that this is a sensible approach to review what’s in-flight to ensure it’s not simply going to make us all poorer for little gain on climate change.
