Earlier in the week my colleagues and I attended a fantastic meeting with volunteer groups making a difference in Tamworth.
There are amazing groups in our Town who practically make miracles happen on a shoestring. Hats off to all of them. 
There were many groups on the night, but one which touched me particularly was Better Way Recovery.
They help addicts and ex-prisoners to rehabilitate back into being productive members of our society. They also, very importantly, support the families who are impacted by having an addict in the family.
The people involved either have experience as parents of an addict or were addicts themselves (and consequently leading to crime and prison time) who have turned their lives around as users of this service.
Inspiring and emotional stuff for sure!
